About the Laboratory

Laboratory mission lies in promotion of the idea of intellectual dialogue between Russia and Europe and in implementation of philosophical studies, which are united by this topic within partnership with leading (mainly European) research-educational institutes and centers. Laboratory activities will help to promote the HSE in international academic environment by participating in research and educational projects of faculty of Humanities, as well as by creating intellectual public platforms in order to improve HSE’s image and its recognition as a leader of modern education in the humanities and international scientific and cultural cooperation center.

On June 15, 2017, the chief research fellow of the IL for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue M. S. Kiseleva took part in the project "Anatomy of Philosophy: the Way Text Works. Series "Repliki" of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and F.M. Dostoevsky Library.

Reports of A. A. Kara-Murza and O. A. Zhukova at an International Conference Dedicated to the 225th Anniversary of Pyotr Andreevich Vyazemsky

On June 1 and 3, 2017 at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the museum-estate "Ostafyevo" there was held the International Scientific Conference "Prince Pyotr Andreevich Vyazemsky and historical destinies of Russia (to the 225th birthday anniversary)", organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the fund "Russian liberal heritage".

On May 23, 2017 in the Library "House of A.F. Losev" there was held a presentation of the book by Professor NRU HSE Vladimir Kantor "Felled Tree of Life. The fate of N.G. Chernyshevsky".

On May 22, 2017 within the framework of the seminar "West and East: Universalism of Culture" of the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue there was a masterclass of prof. Tatyana Gennadievna Shchedrina.

On May 17, 2017 the head of the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue took part in a conversation about the work of Francisco Goya in the program "Nabludatel".

Educational portal "Postnauka" has published an interview with the head of the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue . The interview is dedicated to philosophical aspects of the novel "Demons" by F.M. Dostoevsky, its folklore and Christian motifs, as well as prototypes of Dostoevsky's characters.
