REID Laboratory staff participated in the IPH RAS conference

On January 21-22, 2025, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences hosted an international scientific conference "Culture – the Ascent to Humanity (on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Albert Schweitzer's birth)"

Marina S. Kiseleva, Chief Research Fellow at the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue, delivered a report on "Broadcasting Universality: Johann Sebastian Bach and Albert Schweitzer" at the plenary session. Giovanni Pirari, a research fellow at the laboratory, read the report "Beyond Distances: the exchange of Letters between Albert Schweitzer and an Italian hermit" in the section "The Universal Man: Albert Schweitzer's Thoughts and Experience in twentieth-century Culture and Modernity."
The conference is organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis.
