"Who's right, Titans or gods?": a dialogue between A. F. Losev and Y. E. Golosovker / Daniil Morozov's report at Losev House

On March 18, 2025, a Junior Research Fellow at the laboratory, D. A. Morozov, made a presentation at the Losev House as part of the seminar "The creative Legacy of A. F. Losev: problems and Prospects"

During the speech, the grounds for the dispute between the two thinkers were considered, based on Losev's archival review of the book "Tales of the Titans" by Golosovker. The comments to the review left by the Golosovker in the margins in pencil are of great value. A polemic between two approaches to the philosophy of history is unfolding based on the material of Greek mythology. The title of the report contains the first line of a poem by Y. A. Eichenwald dedicated to this dispute. Losev's review, almost 70 years after it was written, is being introduced into scientific circulation, and the intellectual context of the poem comes to life. In addition, the report showed how the "Tales of the Titans" are integrated into the project of the imaginative philosophy of the Golosovker.
