New column by Leonid Luks for Die Kolumnisten
The German socio-political issue published an article by the academic supervisor of the Laboratory, Professor Leonid Luks
In his new article "What was the uniqueness of the Holocaust?" (Worin bestand die Singularität des Holocaust? Eine Replik), Professor Leonid Luks examines a new round of the "historians' dispute" about the Holocaust and its comparability or incomparability with other historical forms of mass violence, in particular, with the crimes of the communist regime of the USSR and European colonialism. Professor Luks responds to an article by Michael Rothberg and Juergen Zimmerer, in which they put forward the thesis that the postulate of the uniqueness of the Holocaust serves to "normalize" colonialism.
