Laboratory Researchers Participated in the International Philosophical Forum 'Understanding Russia'

On September 23-24, 2024, the International Philosophical Forum dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Nikolay A. Berdyaev's birth was held at the Metropol Hotel in Moscow

The organizational committee: Faculty of Philosophy of the Lomonosov Moscow State University; Centre of the Russian Philosophy, History and Culture, Library-Museum 'The Losev’s House', with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. 

The Forum was attended by the staff of the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian and European Intellectual Dialogue. The head of the Laboratory, Professor of the National Research University 'Higher School of Economics' Vladimir K. Kantor presented the report 'Authority and Anarchy as a Problem of Russian Culture'. Chief Research Fellow of the International Laboratory for the Study of Russian-European Intellectual Dialogue, Professor of the National Research University 'Higher School of Economics' Olga A. Zhukova gave a talk on 'Metaphysical Discoveries of Russian Thought: Nikolay A. Berdyaev on Human Creativity in History'. Senior Research Fellow of the Laboratory, Associate Professor of HSE University Irina O. Shchedrina together with Tatyana G. Shchedrina, Professor of the Moscow Pedagogical State University, presented the report 'Cognitive Strategies of Ecophilosophy in Russia (Based on the Materials of the Epistolary Conversation between Mikhail M. Prishvin and Razumnik V. Ivanov-Razumnik).'

Other researches from the HSE also participated in the event: staff members of the School of Philosophy and Cultural Studies, Professor Boris I. Pruzhinin and Associate Professor Alexander V. Mikhailovsky; and Professor of the School of Historical Sciences Vladimir E. Koptev-Dvornikov.
